The climbing is out of control

Jones can now walk up stairs totally unaided and can climb pretty much everything he sees. It's actually impossible to keep him from climbing most things, so we let him explore and try to guide him away from the totally dangerous, Everest-like summits that exist in his toddler world.

There have been a few tumbles - which haven't thrilled any of us - but on the whole he's really got a fine climbing sense. And, totally hilariously, he somehow has this innate sense that if he's climbing something he shouldn't and then falls, he shouldn't make a big deal about it (unless, of course, it really hurts in which there is no acting needed). Instead, he'll climb something we've told him not to, stumble or tumble, look around to make sure we aren't going to scold him, and shake it off like a cat who licks itself after making an especially graceless jump. He's clever, this boy, he's clever.

Maybe he is going to grow up to be an explorer!
