'Makala' needs to be heard to be appreciated. It is simple and repetitive and takes its lyrics from the name of Jones's ukulele, 'The Makala': "Makala. Makala-la-la-la. Makala. Makala-la-la"
'Safety Dance', on the other hand, is one of those songs we all know the first line to ("You can dance if you wannooooo") but have never really known who's sung it and what it's called. This was evidenced by my dear father who kept singing "you can dance if you wanooooo" only to follow it with "Angus, what's the name of that song again?" or "Wessa, what's the name of that song again?" or "Angus, who sings that song again?" or "Wessa, what's the band again, 'Men Without Chaps?" or something similar.
